Week 8: Stepping into the life you deserve
Masterclass: Week 8
Weekly Homework: Week 8
Finding Your Spark
To begin the journey of finding the spark I suggest you ask yourself these 12 questions and write down your answers. Find a quiet place where you can relax and focus on yourself. Take time to breath deeply. You will need to access your intuition and the best way to do that is to be relaxed. Be open a to whatever comes up for you.
- What are your Values? What is most important to you in life? Make a list.
- What have you done that is easy for you and doesn’t feel like work? Others compliment you on it and you feel good when you are doing it.
- What skill or talent do you have that is fun for you? You enjoy using it and work hard to perfect it because you love using it.
- What change in the world do you see that is needed that you get emotional about? This change is important to you and you get angry that others are not attending to it. You feel good when you are working in support of the change you want to make.
- What is it that you have been enjoying all your life and want to continue doing? Looking back to when you were a child what games did you play that you still want to play now. Perhaps you have found a more adult way to play the game.
- What gives you energy each time you do it. You get excited when you are doing it. You never get tired of it and you use the energy it gives you to continue doing it?
- What do you dream about doing that you haven’t shared with anyone? You can actually see yourself doing it but it seems so far out that you have never told anyone about it.
- What person, cause or project is worth fighting for? The cause or project gets you so worked up that you are willing to stick your neck out to get it done. It is a risk, but someone has to take it. Why not you?
- What hobby do you have that you want to continue doing because you enjoy it so much? The hobby may give you a clue as to the type of things you enjoy doing. Some hobbies do turn into businesses, but most do not.
- What were you doing the last time you lost track of time? When you lose track of time you are usually lost in the work and enjoying the journey. I’m not talking about a time when you were working to meet a deadline and time flies. Maybe it was when you were on line and researching something. Was it the research or the topic that captured you?
- What would you be doing on a perfect work day? Set aside time to write down exactly what you would be doing all day. Explore what makes this the perfect day.
- What inspires you? What gets you jazzed so that you can’t stand still? Maybe it is a person? What is it about that person that is inspiring?
Embodiment Practices
Embodiment: Can you feel it? Can you feel that desire, passion, excitement and playful energy of life working within you? Or, is your energy somewhere else? We are ALL conscious creators, either knowingly or unknowingly and our energy is the life force of that creation. To consciously change what we see on the outward, we must first change those feelings within. This week will propel you in the direction of all that you could consciously want.
Activity 1
I want you to get in a quiet space, close your eyes and ponder the following: Go back to a time in your own life, or perhaps even in a movie or book that you have previously seen, and you felt deeply, that you were “falling in love”. That sense of meeting someone who felt like a welcome rest from life, that feeling of desiring someone and how that felt within your body, the electricity of first being kissed, touched, made love to by that person. The sense of feeling loved, wanted, desired and excited by life. That effortless flow of moving and investing in someone in a mutual play of joy. Can you feel it? That’s your soul. Knowing this, ponder over your own life, does it feel like this?, can you tap into the passion of that desire?, the excitement of knowing you can have it? Or does it feel “flat”, “ok”, “unattainable”. Begin to adjust your feelings, language and perspective accordingly, tap into that same effortless energy of being with a lover, knowing the universe wants you to give you all your desires.
Activity 2
Knowing ourselves, what makes us ‘tick’ etc can often feel difficult with the conditioned mine. Whether knowingly or unknowingly we have so many judgements around ourselves and as such, set limitations on what we can have or how powerful we really are. The following questions, why sometimes appearing ‘random’ will help you tap into spaces that you may not always consciously notice, but reveal deeper aspects to your own souls desires.
- What is your favourite flower and why?
- If you were a flavour of ice cream what would you be and why?
- Name a time in your life that you felt happiest. What about this memory makes it so memorable?
- What 3 things are you proudest of in life? Why?
- What animal do you think you would best represent you and why?
- Name 3 adjectives to describe your favourite colour.
- Who is your favourite actor and what makes them special to you?
- Ponder on the last time you belly laughed. Who was there? What was so funny? How did it feel?
- Name 3 people you admire most in life and 3 characteristics of each that you admire the most.
10.When you were a child what jobs did you want to do when you ‘grew up’? Feel into the “why” of wanting those jobs through the eyes of a child.
Activity 3
Holding and maintaining our new desired frequency can take a little bit of practice, after all we are literally working to deprogrammed ourselves from 1000s of years of conditioning. Below is 3 small tasks to consciously do each day
- A) When you wake in the morning notice how you feel. Take a few moments to then adjust your thoughts and feelings into the new direction. You can do this through gratitude practices or even thinking by on experiences that feel good and aligned for you.
- B) Begin to deprogramme your conditioned mind with subliminal whilst you sleep. Keep this consistent with this practice. Find what works best for you in terms of maintaining the momentum of doing this task and a subliminal that is aligned with what energy you are most looking to move towards.
- C) Set 4 alarms per day with a message of “embodiment” or something similar. Set them for around 10am, 3pm , 7pm , 10pm. When the alarm goes off, take a few moments to consider how you are feeling in that moment, what thoughts were you having, what you are doing. Just notice your own energy and then ask yourself “Is this taking me closer or further away from my goal?” Adjust accordingly.
